Two Malay Dancers II

The same two dancers were so attractive, graceful and photogenic that I'm devoting a few pages to them. I hope the dance postures are sufficiently different to hold your interest.

lovely shot! the red colours makes the shot vibrant!
the smiles are a reminder of the peace we experience today...

but today 62 years ago such scenes can never be when the A-bomb was dropped on Hiroshima... all is black and dark... the only red is that of those who were badly burnt by the radiation heat but was not vapourised by it...

watched a documentary about it yesterday... may such horrors never happen again and may more of such a happy scene that you have taken be the scene all over the world!

On the matter of the world and peace and smiles, I think this particular event was an example of international goodwill with Vietnamese and Papuan dancers taking part as well, sponsored by the International branch of the ABC. I will be showing images of dancers from the latter two SE Asian countries later in this series. The diverse Australian spectators showed a spontaneous appreciation of the cultures and gracefulness of the dancers who performed.
